NOTE: continue on Split Oak Road after the pavement ends; you will eventually dead end into the entrance gate to camp. High clearance vehicles are recommended.

NOTE: effective September 1, 2023, every adult present on overnight activities must be registered as an adult member of Scouting. This means submitting an adult application and registration fee, undergoing a criminal background check and volunteer screening database check, and completing Youth Protection training just like all adult leaders.

Weekend camping information

General Information

  • Reserved on a first come, first served basis
  • All units must satisfy BSA two deep leadership standards
  • All program area fees must be paid in advance to the Capitol Area Council office

Capitol Area Council units are required to pay $3 per youth/adult to use our council camping properties for regular weekend camping or day events. Out of council units have to pay $6 per camper (youth or adult). These fees are used to offset camp cleaning supplies/services and operating expenses.
