The Unit Leader Award of Merit recognizes Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, Venturing Advisors, and Skippers who lead quality units and keep Scouts engaged in the program. The Unit Leader Award of Merit replaced the Scoutmaster Award of Merit, the Varsity Team Coach Award of Merit, and the Venturing Crew Advisor’s Award of Merit programs.
Knots are worn over the left pocket of the Scouting uniform.
