Join Sea Scouts
Young men and women ages 14-20
The element of water in Sea Scouting makes this program unique. Focused on boating, sailing, and other maritime activities, local Sea Scouting groups – or Ships – belong to a world that is distinct from that which is on shore. Crewing a vessel involves sharing the duties of helmsman, navigator, lookout, cook, sail handler, or engineer. Outings on a boat offer new destinations and changing scenery; every event is an adventure. Ships may be boy-only, girl-only or co-ed – with no previous Scouting experience is required.
Sea Scouts may take part in rank advancement opportunities, that ultimately culminate in the most challenging and prestigious Quartermaster Award.
Along with having fun with friends in a positive environment, Sea Scouts are encouraged to reflect on the Scout Oath and Law and how those values can help them make moral and ethical choices throughout the rest of their lives.
