American Labor Merit Badge Pamphlet

While earning this merit badge, Scouts will learn about work-related concerns including working conditions, workplace safety, hours, wages, seniority, job security, equal-opportunity employment, discrimination, guest workers, automation and technologies that replace workers, unemployment, layoffs and outsourcing. Employee benefit topics are covered as well. From health care, child care, profit sharing to retirement benefits. This merit badge will prepare Scouts to join the workforce with a greater understanding of what their rights are and what is available to them through their benefits.
